Hurray, it’s finally cold again, and last night we got a couple of inches of snow which gives a fresh, new feel to the place – a bit like a new coat of paint. It’s come just in time for the final weekend of the mid-term school break, so families are pleased to be able to get out again. It also means there will enough snow to have fun after church on Sunday when ‘3F!’ meets for sledging in the park. (3F! is an ‘outdoor’ ministry for families, and although my family is away and really a bit old, I fully intend joining in!).
Today I played for a funeral in Rossfjord and on the way home I took the ‘back road’ for a different view. Where Roosfjord Vann empties into the sea, the water is brackish and freezes in patches. Further inland, the rain from the last week which has collected on top of the ice is now beginning to freeze, leaving puddles on the surface. A beautiful drive.
