Northern Lights At Sunset

With just over a month to go before the start of the midnight sun, we already have some remaining daylight at 10pm – quite amazing as it seems that only a few days ago we were waiting for the sun to return after the polar night!

On Monday we were treated to some north lights at sunset, which is quite unusual (normally the sky needs to be properly dark before they become visible).  Unfortunately I pressed a wrong button on the camera, so everything ended up a bit out of focus and you don’t get a second chance with the aurora, but here are the pictures anyway.
