Sunday 13th April we will have a concert in the church Våpenhus (foyer, but literally the weapon room between the outside door and the door to the sanctuary).Vapenhuskonsert 02f  - revised texts 2e copy - 1000

The concert is part of Påskefestuke (our easter week festival) .

Vapenhuskonsert aktorerAs with previous concerts we will have a mix of music and poetry. Performers are:

  • Sarah Blamire – voice – harpsichord – piano
  • Jon Blamire – recorder – piano – harpsichord
  • Randi Eriksen – poetry
  • Frank Olav Eriksen – clarinet
  • Odd Fredriksen – guitar
  • Benjamin Olsvik Nilsson – percussion
  • Ernst Norbakken – tenor

Music will include:

  • English Suite i A minor (1st mvt) – J.S. Bach – harpsichord
  • Vinter (2nd mvt) – A. Vivaldi – clarinett
  • Å kunne æ skrive på himmelen – Bremnes – song
  • Har du fyr – Bremnes – song
  • Kindle the flame – J. Sutheran – song
  • Våren – E. Grieg – Arrangement for piano
  • April – Tchaikovsky – piano
  • Recorder sonata in A minor – G.F. Handel
  • Brudemarsj – clarinet
  • Gabriellas sang – P. Bäckman & S. Nilsson – clarinett
  • Randi Eriksen will read some poems
  • Ernst Norbakken will sing a selection of holy week hymns:

    • För att du inte tog det gudomliga
    • Jeg har en venn som har gitt sitt liv
    • Alt for Jesu fot jeg legger
    • Du kansje Jesus

The concert starts at 7pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. A retiring collection will be taken, with money used to help redecorate and furnish the entrance area to Finnsnes church.
