We’re now in confirmation season. Our parish has almost 130 confirmands this year and confirmations take place in 9 services across the area. The first three services were last weekend, and close to 1300 people attended!
Whilst in one sense confirmation in the Norwegian church is meaningless, never the less the preparation year is a great gospel opportunity. For the confirmands it is often a time when they receive lots of gifts too, and almost all have a large party with family and friends. We were privileged to be invited to a party on Saturday, complete with a lot of coffee and cake.
